An intimate and empowering geeky photoshoot session | Singapore boudoir photography studio

Yes, it is possible to be a comic book fan and still do a boudoir photography session! I am glad to be given an opportunity to combine a geeky theme session together with a dark and moody ending! Churning out ideas for any boudoir photoshoot session is limitless. It is not cookie-cutter, but personalised. I can guarantee you that you will never get the same concept as others.

Thank you to Ms A for allowing us to feature her boudoir photoshoot session in this blog post. Her vulnerability and spontaneity made her entire photoshoot gratifying. And it basically reflects her entire personality!

I've always been plus-sized so my weight has been the brunt of many comments and snide remarks from relatives and even acquaintances. I figured that it was time to embrace who I am and that being plus-sized doesn't mean ugly or unhealthy! ~ Ms A

What is boudoir photography for you?

It's about letting go of all doubts you might have about yourself. In the words of a famous sports brand: "Just Do It".

Since boudoir photography is about being vulnerable but brave, please share with us about a low point in your life and how did you lift yourself up from it?

Being told that I have big thighs - it's superficial, I know but at that point, it really affected my self-esteem. I started going for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu classes where I was told that my thighs were an asset when it came to executing certain moves!

What motivated you to go ahead with the photoshoot?

It was to commemorate my 30th birthday. No better time than celebrating the end of your 20s!

Did you tell others that you will be doing this photoshoot?

I told some close friends and they were very supportive!

What was your biggest fear before working with me? Did it come true, and if not, what happened instead?

Not knowing how to pose! Mary's instructions were clear and though some of the poses were challenging, the end results were worth it.

(I can get militant with poses...ha! no, we were engaged in some tomfoolery because we were having so much fun! :-D )

What, specifically, was your favourite part of the entire photographic experience, and why?

Putting on the make-up! It was the perfect time to regroup before the session.

In three words, how would you describe your feelings when you saw the photos?

Astounded, Proud, Wowed

(Check out her curvaceous back!)

If you were to recommend us to your best friend, what would you say?

I would let them know that Mary can be trusted to handle the photography session with professionalism. Plus, knows how to bring out the best in you.

Annnnnnnd it is my honour to hereby present to you our gorgeous Ms A!! She aced her session!
